Opt-In / Consent

Last updated September 14, 2026

Who opts in

Only the household's own members and the guests they invite. There is no public sign-up form, no purchased or rented lists, and no marketing messages — this is a private tool operated for a single household.

How consent is collected

  • A household admin adds the person's mobile number when setting up the service for them, with that person present and agreeing.
  • The service sends a one-time welcome text naming the program, stating that message frequency varies, that message and data rates may apply, and that HELP and STOP work at any time, with links to these policies.
  • The person confirms by replying YES (or simply by texting the service a request). Until then, no reminders or digests are sent.

What you consent to receive

Transactional household messages only: calendar confirmations, reminders you or another member schedule for you, shared-list updates, clarifying questions, and the daily digest. No promotional or third-party content is ever sent.

Withdrawing consent

Reply STOP at any time — that number is removed from the service immediately and receives a single confirmation. Reply START, or ask a household admin, to opt back in. You can also email jgold118@gmail.com to be removed and have your message history deleted.

Guests

A member may invite a guest (a sitter, a grandparent, a coach) by adding their number. The guest receives the same welcome text and confirms the same way, and can be removed by any admin or by replying STOP.

Records

We keep a record of each opt-in — number, date, and confirming reply — for as long as the number is enrolled, plus a reasonable period afterward, so consent can be evidenced on request.
